The menu included nods to the Chinese-American and Belgian families, though it was firmly rooted in the culture and seasons of San Francisco. We had a blast researching Beijing-style duck and watching Sally Darling make the most elegant croquembouche ever. The group processed around the neighborhood with musical instruments after the ceremony, with little bags of hazelnut thyme crackerjack.
